Parentera Lab

We research how modern couples decide what family means to them.

We listen to what couples actually say, compare it with research, and test simple tools that help two people decide together.

How the lab works

  1. 01

Listen. What couples write and say about family, in their own words.

  2. 02

Read. We compare it with research on families and relationships.

  3. 03

Try. Simple tools for two, and we check whether they actually helped.

  4. 04

Share. Essays, observations and tools, openly.

Questions we explore

Each question is a field of our research. We look at what couples say about it, what research knows, and which simple tools help.

  1. 01

Why do we want a family at all, and what is it for us?

  2. 02

How do we stay two whole people inside one family?

  3. 03

Why do we want a child, and how do we have one without losing each other?

  4. 04

Who earns, who decides about money, and how do we make it a shared decision?

  5. 05

How do we share the load so that neither of us disappears in it?

  6. 06

How do we move countries together, and not each on our own?

  7. 07

What did we bring from our parents' families, and what do we choose to keep?

  8. 08

What holds us together on ordinary days?

Pilot

Talk it through

A guided conversation for two. You name a topic you are stuck on, and the tool asks one question at a time, following the GROW coaching model: Goal, Reality, Options, Will. You talk it over between yourselves and write down what you agreed. The tool asks; you decide.
